Rizomilos - Kalamata Highway is part of the under construction Highway Kalamata - Pilos, which will provide direct and fast access from Kalamata Airport to Pilos and Southwest Peloponnese (where significant touristic businesses, such as Costa Navarino exist ).
- Reformation of ‘’Rizomylos-Kalamata Highway’’ Hydraulic Study so as to conform with the environmental regulations (Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks - General Secretariat for Public Works).
In particular, the above mentioned study include:
- Drainage Design of the Highway pavement (water collection inlets, drainage pipes, water collection pipes, central median channel, shallow ditches etc.)
- Culverts and External Ditches Design
- Rehabilitation of the existing irrigation network
- River Delineation - Diversion Study (eg Pamisos River, River Aris, Mouria and Ligdou Streams etc)
